The Food and Drug Administration has approved Amphadase for use in children. Healthcare providers usually inject sterile saline underneath the skin first and then inject Amphadase into that area. This can be done for children as well as adults, although the volume of saline and the dosage of Amphadase must be adjusted appropriately for children.
