If your child has depression, it is unlikely she will outgrow it. In fact, putting off diagnosis and treatment can prolong suffering and lead to depressive episodes. If you suspect your child has depression, talk with his or her doctor or a mental health provider. Early diagnosis and treatment will give your child the best chance for improving.
