Side effects may include gas, oily stools, more frequent bowel movements, loss of bowel control, and liver damage. Orlistat may reduce the absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K. Your doctor may recommend that you take a multivitamin or other supplements, such as vitamin D, while you're taking orlistat.
