Common side effects of Lotrel, the brand name for the combined drugs amlodipine and benazepril, include cough, dizziness, headache and swelling of the feet, ankles and hands. Rare but serious side effects of Lotrel, which is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), include swelling of the face, eyelids, lips, tongue or throat; trouble swallowing; and breathing problems. If you experience any of these symptoms, get medical help right away.
