Does amlodipine besylate interact with other medications or food?

People taking amlodipine besylate/benazepril hydrochloride should not take diuretics, unless intructed by the physician as excessively low blood pressure can result. Amlodipine besylate/benazepril hydrochloride also interacts with lithium and can cause toxic levels of lithium in the blood. If you take potassium supplements, tell your doctor before taking amlodipine besylate/benazepril hydrochloride so you can make sure to be  monitored closely.
