What should I avoid while taking pilocarpine?

Pilocarpine may affect your vision. You should avoid driving at night or participating in activities that may be unsafe when your vision is compromised. Also, women should avoid breastfeeding a baby while taking pilocarpine. Doctors are not sure whether pilocarpine passes into breast milk. Pilocarpine may cause excessive sweating, which may lead to dehydration. You may want to avoid strenuous activities that may cause you to sweat and could put you at higher risk for dehydration.
