What are the side effects of Humulin R?

The most common side effects of Humulin R are redness, swelling, itching, and mild pain at the site of injection. More severe side effects include:

  • changes in vision, chills, confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, fast or uneven 
  • heartbeat, headache, mood changes, seizures, slurred speech, swelling, tremor, 
  • difficulty breathing, difficulty concentrating, increased appetite, sweating, or weakness.

If you have any of these symptoms or begin having an allergic reaction, get emergency medical attention.
