How does Byetta interact with other medications or foods?

You should talk to your doctor before beginning a treatment regimen involving Byetta. Alcohol in particular may increase the possibility of side effects from Byetta by lowering blood sugar. Do not take other medications - especially aspirin; cold, cough, hay fever, and sinus medications; and appetite control drugs - without talking to your doctor. You can take birth control pills if you are taking Byetta, but do not take them at the same time.
