What is Singulair?

Montelukast is better known as its brand name Singulair. It is used to prevent difficulty breathing, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing caused by asthma. Singulair also is used to prevent bronchospasm (breathing difficulties) during exercise. Singulair also treats allergy and sinus symptoms by blocking chemicals called leukotrienes.
