Can I overdose using Advair Diskus?

If you take Advair Diskus more than prescribed or with other similar medicines, you can overdose. As with similar medications, Advair Diskus should not be used more often than prescribed, at higher doses than recommended, or along with similar medicines like Serevent, Foradil or Brovana. An overdose may result.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any doubt at all about whether your other medications may include this drug or similar drugs, too. Significant heart effects and even death have been reported in cases of excessive use of inhaled drugs.

If you are using the Advair Diskus system, you should not use medicines such as salmeterol, formoterol, or arformoterol for any reason. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about what medicines you are taking in addition to Advair Diskus.
