Are there any risks associated with using Atrovent?

Using Atrovent (ipratropium) other than as prescribed by your doctor can increase your risks for side effects, including an allergic reaction. Mixing Atrovent with other medications, particularly a cromolyn inhalation solution, puts you at risk for an adverse interaction. When using the inhaler, keep your eyes closed to prevent irritation and blurred vision.
