What should I know about Capastat Sulfate before receiving it?

Capastat may be harmful to a fetus. It is not known if it is passed to a nursing infant through breast milk. Make sure that your doctor knows if you are pregnant or a nursing mother, before taking this drug. People taking this drug need to have regular kidney function tests to determine whether the drug is damaging their kidneys. Because this medication can cause ear problems, hearing tests may be conducted. Make sure you take the entire regimen, even if your symptoms improve, or the infection could come back or worsen. This drug will not treat viruses, colds or flu.
