What are the risks of taking Niravam?

There is a risk of developing a dependence on Niravam. Never share this medication with anyone else. It can be particularly habit forming for someone who has a history of drug abuse.
 
Niravam may cause an allergic reaction. Signs of this are difficulty breathing, hives, and swelling of your lips, tongue, face, or throat. If you notice any of these symptoms, call 911 to get emergency medical help.
 
Niravam may interact with other medications, particularly itraconazole or ketoconazole, so make sure that you tell your doctor about any other medications and substances that you are using before taking Niravam. Do not take this drug while pregnant. This drug may cause increased side effects for older adults, and it is not approved for use in people under age 18.
