Do ADHD symptoms change as a child enters adolescence?

Donna Hill Howes, RN
Family Medicine

Adolescents with ADHD are often easily frustrated and may have excessive emotional responses or seem emotionally immature compared to their classmates. In addition, the stresses of the teen years can bring additional disorders, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or disruptive behavior.
