The blood pressure medication Aceon (perindopril) does not interact with food. However, your doctor may put you on a low-salt diet while you're taking Aceon. Often, reducing salt can help to lower blood pressure, which could affect how much Aceon you need to take in order to bring down your high blood pressure. Also, talk to your doctor before using salt substitutes containing potassium. Combined with Aceon, they could cause too much potassium to enter your blood, putting you at risk for serious heart rhythm problems.
