What is Aceon?

Aceon (perindopril) is most commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure. It belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. These medications block the production of chemicals that constrict blood vessels so that blood can flow more smoothly. Aceon is also sometimes given to treat heart failure and to prevent heart attack in people with stable coronary artery disease.
