There is no definite age for cataract surgery. Cataracts happen over time.
They involve a slow process where the lens inside the eye becomes cloudy.

Once the cataracts interfere with your normal activities of daily living, it's time to talk about cataract surgery.
We never want a patient to have their lifestyle incapacitated or changed significantly due to their cataracts.
For example, we wouldn't want a patient to lose their driver's license simply because they have cataracts.
That's a treatable problem in this day and age. But for other patients who have much more visually oriented
tasks, they may need cataract surgery at a much younger age so it's a very individual decision.
