Try a bodyweight squat
Transcript
[MUSIC PLAYING]
A squat is a simple move that offers big benefits. Incorporating some squats into your daily routine
can help strengthen your leg muscles, glutes and hamstrings. It can also help support your knees and your lower back
and also improve your flexibility. Here's how to do one. To start, stand with your feet a bit more than shoulder-width
apart. Make sure your toes are turned slightly outward, so that your knees are directly over them.
Next, contract your core muscles so your body is stable. Tilt your head slightly up. Inhale.
Then, lean forward, keeping your lower back straight and your lower bottom down, kind of like you're going to sit on a chair.
Keep going until your thighs are about parallel with the floor and stop before your heels start to lift up. Then, while keeping this position,
exhale and stand, pushing up through your heels. Repeat 10 to 15 times.
