Maureen Russell is Manager of Case Management at North Shore Medical Center - Salem Hospital. She presents The Role of QPR (question, persuade, refer) Gatekeeper Training in Elder Suicide Prevention and Making Every Minute Count: Enhancing the Impact of a One-Hour Suicide Prevention Program. She is a member of the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention, and an active Board Member with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Greater Boston Chapter. She also serves as a Field Advocate on both the state and national level. She can be found on the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk for Suicide Prevention’s crew – annually.

    Medicare does not cover the cost of assisted living facilities. Medicare (part A) will cover the cost of short-term skilled care at a SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), such as in (some) nursing homes. TCU's (transitional care units) may be another option.
