Bio

I am presently semi-retired working as adjunct faculty for Grand Canyon University and as a tutor for Smarthinking in the nursing area. Much of my experience has been in the area of gerontology. I have designed and led a bereavement program for individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one. I have led support groups for individuals who have loved ones with Alzheimer's Disease, as well as for women dealing with cancer. My publications include death and loss, humor and health, and development humor. I have written a continuing education text on humor and health for Western Schools. I have been in nursing education since 1981 and find helping others learn very rewarding.
