Ashley Koff, RD, Nutrition & Dietetics, answeredIf you can't seem to ever get anything done, maybe your goals are just too big or unrealistic. Persistently pursuing a big dream is great when you're getting somewhere. But if you're not, it's the energy-draining pits. Repeatedly hitting dead ends can also make your levels of CRP -- C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation -- rise. Since inflammation has been linked to depressive symptoms, stewing over going nowhere may add to your blues. Instead, let go of what's not working and replace it with smaller, newer, more reachable goals.
