When is the best time of day to schedule a doctor's appointment?

If you're not a morning person, try to repent. Whenever you book a doctor's appointment, always try to get the first appointment of the day. At that time, things haven't had a chance to become hopelessly backed up, as they typically have by the third appointment.

Why? Most doctors schedule appointments in 15-minute segments, and studies show that the average appointment lasts between 18 and 20 minutes. Mix in late patients, no-shows, and a host of other time-wasters, and you'll see why you've always spent more time in the waiting room than talking to the doctor.
