Had floaters in my eye followed by total blurring. Saw an ophthalmologist who recommended I see a Retinal Specialist, Dr. Karl. He diagnosed me as having a Vitreous Hemorrhage, and scheduled outpatient surgery that same day. Had a procedure done to remove the blood in the eye and repair the retinal tear causing the hemorrhage. I am one week postop and still have 'gas' in my eye which helps my retina heal properly, so I still cannot see clearly. But my prognosis is good and expect to see clearly in 2-3 weeks. Dr. Karl is very professional and takes the time to explain everything and answer all your questions. Even though he has a busy practice, I never feel rushed during an office visit. The office staff is great also. Very little wait time as I move you through the various diagnostic procedures. If you have any problems with your Retina, go see {No pun intended} Dr. Matthew Karl.
