Dr. Rivera-Cruz is very knowledgeable, respectful, caring, friendly, and easy to talk with. I have been seeing her as my Neurologist for several years now and have never felt rushed like I did with my previous neurologists. I enjoy that she makes it feel like we work well together for my treatment. Under Dr. Rivera-Cruz's care, I have been at Tampa General Hospital numerous times to diagnosis and treat my Epilepsy. While I am in the hospital, Dr. Rivera-Cruz stops by my room on a regular basis to discuss what has been determined through the testing, how I feel, and next steps. I know she is busy with other patients but she is never rushed during our discussions. She always welcomes as many questions as I and my wife have needed to be answered. She's the only neurologist who allows me to describe my epilepsy condition/symptoms and includes me in the decisions on how best to move forward with a treatment plan that works for me, controls my seizures, and looks at my overall health.
