Dr. Makkuni is a cardiologist and I met him because of a minor heart ailment I have. He has treated that effectively and quickly. However, his office visits go beyond simply discussing the basic complaint -- each time I've seen him he has spent time asking about my overall health, other ailments, and concerns. He is not diagnosing or working outside his specialty; rather, I think he's just genuinely interested in his patient's health. He's also a personable and funny fellow. I very much appreciate his approach and will recommend him for anyone else needing cardiac care.
