Not only a truly brilliant researcher and physician, he has something very few have, and cannot be taught: he is an IMMENSELY TALENTED THERAPIST. Also taught me all the NYS laws that protect patients from irresponsible practitioners, the state agency that provides legal help (an agency that REALLY DOES come down hard on bad ones). Also made it very clear: "Even if I cannot help you here, today, right now, JOB NUMBER ONE is that when you are HERE your MUST feel emotionally safe." I always did.
