Patient Reviews
Jan 04, 2022
Dr Shum is a very knowledgeable medical oncologist who diagnosed me with lung cancer and she spent an enormous amount of time explaining the source and the type of cancer I had with the visuals of the scans and in very understandable language. As daunting as the diagnosis was , she also gave me all the info on the available treatments that would be appropriate for me. After all the appropriate tests it is a treatment plan of a pill a day which has given me great hope for a long future . Thank you Dr Shum to you and your team for the excellent care I have received.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
