Dr. Mott has certainly had the biggest impact on my life as a healthcare provider. Dr. Mott walked with and guided me while navigating the healthcare system as a traumatic brain injury patient. When I was frustrated adjusting to a new disability, Dr. Mott offered mechanisms, techniques, ways to cope, and wisdom. Ten years ago, I had insurmountable symptoms. I couldn't drive or read, go to stores because of excessive stimulation, regulate emotions, exercise, organize and articulate my thoughts, etc. I was overwhelmed and angry with doctors who didn't understand or dismissed me after my scans came back clear, despite the endless symptoms.Dr. Mott believed in me when I didn't. Since then, I completed a Master's degree (4.0 GPA) and now work FULL TIME, which I never thought would be possible. I say in confidence 'I AM ABLE' when my old mantra was 'I can't'. My hope and life have been restored with the help of many, especially Dr. Motts. Anyone would be privileged to have her support.
