How likely are you to recommend Steven Robinson?
Overall, I thought he was competent. I found it interesting that the previous review mentioned having their intelligence questioned. Without sounding pejorative, I questioned his, but it was more his critical thinking skills and lack of "street smarts." There were things I was aware of that he ostensibly was not; I'm not sure if he'd been able to handle it so I backed off. That being said, there was probably some things he could have learned about psychology from me. However, I felt his advice with respect to my family was both wise and appropriate. Unlike the previous reviewer, I did not see him for a prolonged period of time but wish I had: He started to go in the direction he needed to (which other therapists had not, I'd like to add) which was childhood origin issues. Had we done so, I probably would reaped a good deal of benefits. I've started to do this on my own and it's been very insightful. The short duration was not due to his practice, but logistics in my own life.
