I've had therapists in the past who just sat and took notes while I rambled on & it never helped. Dr. Koppa was engaged and invested in the slow process of helping me heal and accept the work I needed to do to feel better. Every session, she was attentive and we would have productive discourse. She talked through my issues with me instead of simply recording them - this active vs. passive approach was exactly what I needed. For the first time in my life, I know my choices and behavior patterns are rooted in a healthy mindset. She guided me through the challenge of releasing old, distorted patterns of thinking that had imprisoned me for most of my life. I learned that it's never too late to start over and live better.
