My husband and I see Morgan for marriage counseling. I have individually tried various counselors over the years, always leaving with the thought, “was this time really helpful for me?” Morgan helped me understand what quality therapy can be – I always leave Morgan’s feeling lighter, more optimistic and thinking, “this was so totally worth the time.” Morgan is skilled at drawing out information, listening and paraphrasing our long-winded rambles into something that makes complete sense. He is ever patient with my “over-thinking” and flexible in his approach to our issues. I can tell that Morgan spends time researching his approach between visits, something I have never noticed with previous therapists. Morgan gives honest, helpful examples as needed, and guides us to confront what we want, no matter how scary or foreign that action may seem. My only issue is trying to find a personal therapist that meets up to my new standard of what therapy can be, set by Morgan Barber.
