Maria is the best case manager at Cornerstone, hands down. There wasn't a guy in the house I lived in during my detox that did not agree on that. I heard some mixed reviews about the others, but I can only speak of my experience with Maria, which was outstanding. She is compassionate, kind and truly caring, but she will also make you get real with yourself even if that is difficult at the moment (which is often the case for people in early recovery). She is extremely passionate about her work and about her patients. As someone in recovery herself, she truly understands the struggle and especially the challenges of early recovery. It is a vulnerable time for many of us. I cannot say enough about how much she helped me through that whirlwind of emotions and guided me through the often confusing maze of recovery options. I sincerely appreciate all that she has done for myself and countless others and think that Cornerstone should consider her one of their greatest assets.
