How likely are you to recommend Kyle Hood?
After having terrible experiences with 3 therapists over the years, a friend recommended I see Kyle and give it another try. This was in 2011. To date, she’s the only one I felt comfortable with, also balances her care w/candor when needed. Even when it was hard to hear. It’s been the single most powerful therapeutic relationship I’ve experienced and continue to see her (albeit less frequently and “as needed”) to continue the work. I am compelled to leave a review after seeing a 1 star, and it’s important to remember each therapist is so different. In order to get the most out of therapy, make sure it’s a good fit. For me, she’s been exactly that. I needed someone with whom I could not run circles around... while holding space for me in vulnerable moments. AND bonus points for going into the field as an adult with life experience, context, & clearly exhibiting an understanding of life’s nuances. W/out judgment and not relying on just what is taught in formal education. 100% recommend
