My daughter has a severe hearing loss, so I have plenty of experience with audiologists. When I needed to check my own hearing, I was directed by the hearing aid supplier (Hear.com) to Dr. Hoskins office. Dr. Hoskins is terrific: extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and very thorough. She is a good listener (no pun intended), takes a detailed patient history to see where your hearing challenges might be, and explains both the hearing issues, deficits, and solutions in plain language. Her appointments are relaxed and not rushed. On follow up visits, she is very accommodating. Dr. Hoskins has a different approach than most: she views her patients as the experts at their own hearing loss, and that she is there to understand it and help them. If you are new to hearing loss and hearing aids, go see Dr. Hoskins. If you already have hearing aids and are not satisfied with your audiologist, go see Dr. Hoskins.
