Joanne is not only a smart and competent specialist, she cares about her patients. She takes the time to listen, try different adjustments and test the outcomes. My husband explained that his biggest issue was clanking dishes and silverware in the kitchen that previously drove him crazy because the sound actually 'hurt' his ears. She actually pulled out a cup, plate and silverware to recreate the sounds to ensure the adjustment was just right! She also suggested he wonder around outside to make sure the adjustment was comfortable with other surrounding noises before leaving. She also provided us with additional information about the hear aids (previously acquired and adjusted elsewhere) that we didn't know about. The bottom line is she cares and clearly knows her stuff! Two days later, my husband is happy, engaging in conversations better and is no longer bothered by the noises in the kitchen! What a blessing - thank you Joann!
