I’ve been a patient of Elizabeth Gorovitz for over 10 years. My first initial experience and thought process was to be in complete and utter denial over how much the first visit actually helped open wounds. In a good way, this was the BEST decision ever, and I absolutely DO NOT REGRET anything. From the very beginning of our first session, she genuinely cared to make sure I felt safe in the environment to unravel my past trauma….Still being optimistic after my first session, I was hesitant and a non believer on how therapy helps. At the end of the day i was replaying the session in my head over and over again. I realized my curiosity of wanting to explore more of my traumatic memories I forgotten in my childhood was growing. As a result of my first session with Liz, I felt safe in a judgement free zone. I knew Liz would give me the ability to learn techniques on how to manage and feel confident, brave, and courageous to open up emotions that I buried so long. She isn’t just your ave
