I came to him with an unknown heart problem. He listened closely to all I had to say about my condition that had been going on for 30 yrs. He then explained why, based on all the test results and my descriptions, he did not think the problem was related to the heart, and even mentioned how other people can experience events that they are sure are heart relate but are not. Then proceeded to explain in detail with diagrams some causes of heart attacks, and how cholesterol is related. Then explained mechanisms of statins, as well as some of the concerns around them. I have adamantly been against statins, but am now willing to consider them after his explanation. I never felt rushed. My questions and concerns all seemed valid and worthwhile to him. An absolutely incredible experience.
