I have been a patient of Dr Assad’s for the last 6 years ago having DBS brain surgery to fight the progression of Parkinson’s . (He also replaced the battery a year ago.) Prior to the surgery you can bet I did as thorough of a check as one could do and not just the reading of internet postings. I spoke directly to other Neurologists in both Boston and Providence who I also knew well enough to ask the question: “If you were me would you have Dr Assad perform this surgery? “. Their response: ‘an extremely well trained and competent neurosurgeon. You won’t find better’. I would not be doing nearly as well in dealing with Parkinson’s for over 17 years were it not for Dr. Assad’s abilities!
