I had a problematic/incomplete colonoscopy at a suburban hospital in which the physician's recommendation was removal of part of my colon. Doing my own research I discovered that there was at least two alternative procedures (EMR and ESD) that would not leave me with a semi-colon. The nearest expert was Dr. Waxman at the University of Chicago but he was not available and time was of the essence so Dr. Siddiqui (who succeeded Dr. Waxman as clinic director) made time for me and the care was top notch. Same for repeat visits. She is an expert (numerous publications), explains well and also has a bit of a sense of humor. You can tell when someone acts on behalf of the patient. She does.
