I was in for an infected tooth. My procrastination in seeing a dentist, led me to seek relief from the pain. The Dr. was very paternal (grand paternal?) in his admonishing me for waiting until the pain was unbearable. He manner was amusing. I wouldn't mind seeing him again, but I now have a PCP and a Dentist.
