Patient Reviews

When I found out I needed surgery, I requested a local surgeon that I knew was very intelligent and had great bedside manner, only to find out she did nor perform colon surgeries. Alas, I took the referral to Dr. Skelton, trusting his expertise with colon surgeries. While not giving off the warmest of fuzzies, (surgeons, am I right?), he really put a lot of thought into planning the surgery in a way to not only accomplish the main goal of safely removing a mass, but also to minimize post-operative pain. I was really impressed with the preop protocol the nurses say is unique to Dr. Skelton, while efforts continue while on the O.R. table by using robotic techniques to minimize tissue damage, using long-acting local type anesthetic prior to waking up in pain, and a protocol with anti-inflammatory agents to minimize the need for narcotics after waking up. He's shown to be very responsive for after hour needs to help keep you out of the E.R. if it can be avoided. 100% recommend.
