When my OB-GYN tried to complete my hysterectomy which included an enlarged uterus overtaken by fibroids she wasn't comfortable completing the procedure due to her concern for cancer and potentially damaging other organs. I was referred to another Gyn Onc whom I was not comfortable with but knew I wanted a Gynecological Oncologist to complete the surgery and thankfully then was referred to Dr. Heffernan. After completing an MRI for further study, he recently completed my surgery with the Da Vinci robotic procedure and I could not be happier with the results or my experience. His bedside manner and care for his patients and assuring you that he will do what is safest for you and the reassurance from the nurses and staff completely put me at ease. Thankfully my case was just complicated and not cancerous. My recovery time and scars have been better than expected and he reviewed everything with me again at the post op appointment. Thank you Dr Heffernan for your expertise and care!!
