In 2003, I was put into UCLA NPI for a suicide. I could only be released to a psychiatric M.D. I somehow came across Dr. Ciesla's name in nearby Santa Monica. As soon as he opened his inner office door and addressed me with his kind formality, I knew I was safe. Not without great difficulty, he kept on until he found, and then fine-tuned, the precise balance of medications that kept me free of a lifelong Bipolar II undertow, which had finally become deadly. What has kept me ALIVE, however, are Dr. Ciesla's own gifts: His depth and decades of experience; his medical training and scientific mind; his "Divine instincts", and his unconditional understanding - of ME. (I had none.) I wish you could have met him. He is now setting down his spectacular lifetime of healing others. I will not have his glorious intellect to look forward to. I will no longer have the 40 minutes that were the Sunday of my week. I have been the most fortunate person I have ever known. Thank you, my Doctor.
