Dr. Shirazian completely changed my quality of life. I am healed and I am so grateful to her and her team at NYU Langone. I went in for uterine fibroids. My condition was moderately severe with at least eight fibroids showing on my MRI scan and ultra sound. I was concerned about surgery because of the recovery time and the scarring. Dr. Shirazian spoke at length with me and my husband during my visit about all of my options and I was able to choose the best one. I was scheduled for an open myomectomy six weeks later. Dr. Shirazian's surgical team was excellent and I can't sing their praises enough. They kept me well informed, they were attentive and their bedside manner was impeccable. As a black woman living in America, with black women not being cared for and dying during childbirth or shortly after, I feel so blessed to have had a team like this to take care of me during my fibroid removal. I ended up having 11 fibroids removed. I work as an actor and I was concerned about scarring
