I came to Dr Gates by providence and will explain. I have had over 12 different orthopedic surgeries, mostly knees but around 2 years ago my shoulders started giving me trouble, had a total reverse shoulder replacement for my right shoulder through another provider. Now the left is gone so I was seeing another doctor and was scheduled for the surgery this past week, was in preop with IV inserted everything ready to go, surgeon comes in and tells me they cannot do the surgery due to something wrong with the implant brought to the hospital, then tells me they cannot schedule me until July or I can see another surgeon in the group which is what I chose and led to Dr. Gates. Just had my 1st visit 3 days ago and his 1st words were 'tell me about you, your life, etc.). I have never had a surgeon start a visit like that, then went over the xrays his staff took. I have also never had a doc take as much time going over details of xrays and explaining the problem and procedure. I'm impressed!
