I have no issues with Dr. Hsu herself. My daughter has seen her a few times and always been very pleasant and helpful. I'm writing because of my extreme frustration with Children's Hospital. I have a high deductible plan so I always have to pay attention to the cost of the visits. I called recently to ask why the most recent follow up visit was over $100 more than her previous follow up visit. Children's told me it was because of the time spent on her visit, which includes the doctor's preparation time and post-visit work. Because she spent over 29 mins on the visit, my bill went up 50%! I think this is just awful! I hate the medical system and how powerless we are as patients. It makes me want to find a new provider outside of Children's. Otherwise, during our next visit, I'll have to stay mum and make sure we rush the visit as much as possible, which of course, is a horrible experience.
