My appointment with Dr. Mathews was mid-February 2020 just before the pandemic lock-down was implemented. I had moved to the area mid-2019. I felt more seen and heard by Dr. Mathews than any other doctor in over 10 years! I had been in pain since my emergency c-section in 2010. No doctor took action even after scans were done. Dr. Mathews listened. She saw. Took action. We started out with a care plan, then the pandemic hit. Everything closed. My pain increased after having Long Covid for over a year (caught in mid-March 2020.) I contacted Dr. Mathews when everything opened up again. We picked up where we left off. She showed compassion, empathy and refocused us on the plan to get my original pain problem diagnosed. She performed my total hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. Pathology result: several fibroids in/on my uterus which was distorted enormous with 1 sizable fibroid in the lining, bad c-section scarring and endometriosis. I'm healing. The pain is going away now. Thanks to Dr. Mathews.
