A fine initial appointment. Dr. Starley seemed exceptionally knowledgeable. He persuaded me that my dentist's verdict was right: root canal. It was the first r.c. I've ever been prescribed (I'm 72), and I was anxious, but both stages went as well as one could reasonably expect. Dr. Starley and his assistants (one is named Liz) were cheerful, exchanging banter, but also very attentive, careful, and (I think) checklist-bound. I felt that no shortcuts were taken. Only time will tell if the work was a 100% success, but I'm optimistic. And if there are complications, I am inclined to give these professionals the benefit of a doubt. Oh, RE something that is more important to most patients than it is to me: no pain, aside from the brief sting of the needle for the local anesthetic. I lucked out and didn't even experience any pain in the hours and days following the first stage of the procedure.
