Today, was the best day of my life. I am 83 and have had neck pain developing for several years until today. First, the staff at Valley View Surgery Center were very friendly and professional. My wait time was approximately 1 hour, and the procedure from anesthesia to full recovery was less than 30 minutes. After arriving home, I was awake for 3 or 4 hours then got on my bi-level machine for a 2 hour nap, after waking up I experienced a mild headache but after several hours the headache disappeared and now have experienced NO pain in my neck. When I move my head around, I do hear cracking sounds by the bones that is too be expected at my age, but NO pain that I had experienced. The procedure was called a Epidural injection/selective nerve root block with two on the right side and one on the left side of neck. I recommend the anesthesia, you don't know nothing about the procedure, just awake with a very positive feeling. I highly recommend Dr. Sharma.
