I have had several doctors tell me that I have a heart murmur and done absolutely nothing about it. Dr. Godera also told me about it and asked if I had any symptoms. I told him that I get very short of breath lately, so he suggested that I call my cardiologist , I did and he told me to walk for about 15 minutes everyday. I did, but it didn't help. Went back to Dr. Godera and told him about it. He was very concerned and ordered an echocardiogram , to be read by my cardiologist. I had it done and the very next morning, he called me with the results. The test showed that I had moderate to severe aortic stenosis ! He suggested that I immediately call the cardiologist and get an appointment with him. He was going to see me in "about a month" until I said that Dr. Godera was concerned and wanted me to get an appointment much sooner. Got an appointment next Tuesday. If it hadn't been for Dr. Godera's concern and caring, this condition would have gone unnoticed and ignored. Thank you !
